WHAT IS IT?
The Media Library of Centro Arte para la Paz is an open space for consultation of digital information that aims to preserve and make accessible our own and donated digital archives on Historical Memory.
You can come to our space to consult them, or do it through the online platform. You can also come if you have material that you want preserved and cared for by us, such as old photographs, videos, documentaries, books, or any other type of archive.
Here we have the necessary technology to digitize and preserve and consult all that valuable information that has to be preserved over time so it doesn’t get lost . It can be said that our Media Library is like a digital library that accepts all types of files, organizes them and makes them available to the public.
The information available to users is very broad. From the cultural and historical patrimony that our institution possesses, to third party archives that have been donated to our institution.
We invite you to consult our published archives if you are doing research or if you are simply interested in learning more about our context and environment, past and present.
The audiovisual repository of the CAP Media Library has been created, for the most part, by young groups from the communities of Suchitoto, with the support of some programs and projects, including funding from the Inter-American Foundation (FIA). And now, thanks to this initiative and many others, these materials are available to everyone.
