2016 – 2017
The museum La Memoria Vive dedicates this exhibition to all the women who, with their tenacity, rebellion, courage, enthusiasm, sorority and perseverance, have made and continue to make possible the construction of a more equitable society between men and women. Those who have inherited new dreams, memories, identities and histories of Suchitoto.
This exhibition is an invitation to review, rethink and reflect on the role that women assume and that we have been made to assume in the social imaginary, in the power structures or in the spaces of participation, to recognize our capabilities, contributions, knowledge, efforts, struggles and dreams in the construction of the history of Suchitoto and the country.
Historically, the names of women who have contributed to the history of humanity have been hidden. Today it is important to look back to review local and community memories, recognizing the protagonists and transformers of change, bearers of science and knowledge, and become co-responsible for telling and recording the memories and fights.
This is women's history! Join us to meet and recognize the women who contribute to the history of Suchitoto, women who excel in community organization, social struggles, education, health, arts, commerce, sports and the struggle to defend their rights, dreams and ideals.
We celebrate a legacy of tenacity and struggle in Suchitoto!
