¿WHO WE ARE?
Centro Arte para la Paz was born on January 16, 2005 with the purpose of promoting a culture of peace
Located in the building of the former Beata Imelda School, it is considered part of the architectural ensemble of the Cultural Heritage. This space was rehabilitated to house different artistic and community projects, as well as classrooms equipped for the use of new technologies, art workshops and a collective museum dedicated to the collection of the historical memory of the municipality of Suchitoto.
In 2008, CAP obtained its legal status as a non-profit local development association. It has 44 associates: 19 permanent workers, 8 temporary workers and 22 art teachers, in addition to some volunteers.
All of our work is essentially related to children and youth from communities in the municipality and the integration of the population of the urban area.
